This battery case fits for 6x AA battery( Not included )

Applicable radios: BAOFENG UV-5R, UV-5RB, UV-5RE, UV-5RE+,TYT TH-F8

Cannot use on: UV5RA, UV5RA-PLUS, UV5RC, UV5RD

Using Six (6) NiMh AA cells, this will provide 7.2V to the radio

Note: all voltages quoted are for open circuit

If you install 6 AA Alkaline or Zinc Carbon cells, it will provide 9V and the radio will not go into transmit

If you must use Alkaline or Zinc Carbon cells, use five of them and a dummy AA, this will set the output voltage to 7.5V
