EASY TO CLEAN: Compartments can be easily opened up to empty and rinsed with running water
MULTIPLE TRAPS PER HIVE: For best results, place 2-4 traps in top box between outside frames and the side of the box. Small hive beetles naturally hide in the top corners where the traps are placed.
EASY TO USE: The clear plastic allows you to check oil levels and how many small hive beetles are caught in the trap. 3 flaps on each trap open and close to allow easy cleaning and refilling of the trap. Each trap has 2 clips to grab onto the top of frames, keeping the trap secure.
TIPS AND TRICKS: These traps work best when placed in the top and bottom corners of the hive between the frame and box. 2 traps per hive is great for maintenance of beetles, but 4-6 traps per hive are helpful in knocking down a large beetle population.
BAITABLE TRAP: The center compartment can be baited with simple ingredients to help lure beetles into the trap. Apple cider vinegar and finely chopped banana peel are great beetle baits to increase the chance of catching beetles.
