VL53L1X is an advanced time-of-flight (ToF) laser ranging sensor. It is a miniature ToF sensor with an accurate measurement range of up to 4 m and a fast measurement frequency of up to 50 Hz. It uses a miniature reflow package and integrates a SPAD receiver array at 940nm Invisible Class1 laser emitters, physical infrared filters and optics provide optimal ranging performance under a variety of ambient lighting conditions and provide multiple cover window options. Unlike traditional infrared sensors, the VL53L1X uses STToF technology to allow absolute distance measurement regardless of target color and reflectance. The size of the ROI can also be programmed on the receiving array, allowing the sensor FoV to be reduced.
